Junior Achievement Announces New President & CEO

Junior Achievement of Manitoba is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Leipsic as the new President & CEO. Leipsic will succeed Lisa Cefali, who has left to pursue a new opportunity. 

Leipsic joins Junior Achievement of Manitoba following a 17-year career at Horizon Insurance, where he most recently served as Director of Retail Operations and as a Partner. In his role at Horizon Insurance, Leipsic directed regional operations for Manitoba’s largest insurance broker employing 130 staff in 18 branches. The company’s retail division specializes in home and travel health insurance, driver’s licensing and Autopac. 

“Greg brings firsthand knowledge all the dynamics associated with building a business and his passion to contribute that back through Junior Achievement Manitoba is invaluable”, said Brad Ross, Chairman of the Board. “Our mission is to inspire and educate young Canadians, and his leadership has JA poised to become an even bigger component within the not for profit sector in the years to come. We are very excited to have him on board leading Junior Achievement Manitoba.” 

Upon accepting the position, Leipsic said “I am very excited and thrilled about the opportunity to join Junior Achievement. The work JA does is so important in equipping our youth with the entrepreneurial, leadership & financial skills they will need to succeed as they grow older.Currently we educate over 7000 students and I will be working hard to expand our programs through increased support from the Manitoba community”.
